GOODYEAR WELTED SHOES EXPLAINED:

The Goodyear construction is characterised by a horizontal seam that joins the upper, the insole and a welt. This welt is then joined by a second vertical seam, which joins the entire shoe to the outsole. This achieves the total integrity of the shoe and, in addition, it’s easy to repair.
A characteristic feature of Goodyear footwear until now has been its lack of flexibility. By working closely with the factory and meticulously intervening in every process, we were able to create the first Goodyear shoe suitable for the Barefoot user.

Natural Vegetable Tanned Leather

OUR VEG TAN LEATHER

The leather we are using is a natural vegetable tanned leather emblematic of the Spanish heartland.
A richly coloured 'washed' calf leather with a rustic character and aroma. Handmade by the tannery nicknamed 'The Widow's'. When the Pérez brothers, just teenagers, lost their father, the tannery manager, their widowed mother decided to carry on the legacy of 3 generations of tanners.
The four brothers and sons, 40 years later, continue the legacy today making this exquisite leather.

The sole, the soul of the shoe. We developed a sole that would provide the right feel. Something that can convey the Barefoot connection without losing the requirements of safety and comfort. We've formulated the perfect combo for keeping your favourite leather boots (and anything made of leather) in tip top condition. We offer the following kits that will help you cleaning, conditioning and waterproofing your shoes and any of your leather goods.
These conditioner and wax polish are formulated by Gaucho Ninja specially for Veg Tan leathers.
The leather conditioner will bring life back to leather allowing it to do its job and the shoe wax will create a natural layer that will protect the grain against weather and water.
We recommend to use these two products very often to ensure that the life of the leather remains in optimum condition.

'What a joy, my new boots have arrived. I had actually ordered the black Carpenter from @gaucho_ninja on Black Friday. According to the information, they should be delivered in March 2025. In the meantime, I saw the Chukka model, which was available in brown and normal wide and could be delivered immediately. As I prefer brown to black when it comes to shoes and I don’t really need safety shoes with toe protection, the decision was quickly made. I asked Gaucho if I could change the order. By the way, I should mention that communication went smoothly by email and Gaucho is very patient with annoying customers like me ;-) I paid the extra charge via Paypal and my boots were on their way and have now arrived.

And what can I say? Some of the most expensive shoes I have, but also some of the most beautiful. Dark brown, slightly reddish in the sun, soft veg tanned calfskin, Goodyear welted, handmade, ... and in normal wide they look less like barefoot shoes than other brands. If it weren’t for the missing heel, you could mistake them for normal work shoes. And they are simply comfortable. Almost no break-in period and can be worn straight away. When I think of my Red Wings... The only problem I have now is that I still need black ones. We’ll see when there’s a sale again, like Black Friday, happy February or something ;-)
So if you want stylish barefoot shoes that don’t look like duck feet, you should consider these.' Karsten

Amazing Boots

Amazing boots that go with pretty much everything. Sizing is spot on and they have quickly become the most comfortable pair of boots I've ever owned. Highly recommend these boots!

Fits as advertised.

Was unsure about size/width as I got quite wide feet. Measured feet at home and got top quality help from customer service. Got the boots, after two hours wear they were already broken in and new favorites. Will definitly buy more shoes/boots from here in the future.

Top notch high-grade boots for everday wear

The fit and feel are top notch; arguably the classiest highest-quality boots I've ever owned. They feel handcrafted because they are, and pair well with anything. Great for everday use whenever possible. Purchased the extra-wide to save room for toe spacers. In short, these are sublime!

Amazing

These are what have been missing from my barefoot shoe collection. A high quality boot that I can wear in all weather. It’s the shape of my foot and not too bulky but also not uber thin soled like some other shoes— I wanted a sole that could work for me in light snow and last a long time!
These are BEAUTIFUL. My favorite boots of all time so far! I got to try them on at the barefoot shoe expo this year and met Lisandro, who was super kind and helpful. I got a size 37 which is my normal size (although I noticed that their size chart puts me closer to a 36). Worth every single penny!! I hope this company stays in business because if these shoes ever get worn down (we’ll see, because they’re even resolvable!!) I will be coming back :)

Quite comfortable

The shoes, although arriving in a shabby looking box, the shoes itself are of great quality. I followed the sizing guide and picked a size slightly larger than my exact size and it had fit nearly perfectly. Although these are nitpicks, some of the stitching came a bit loose, and I took a flame to it and smushed it in, and due to me still being new towards walking in these shoes, the back heel of the sole seems to wear out quickly if you drag your feet. Overall I am satisfied with this shoe as it fits all the criteria that I bought it for, and ended up meeting my expectations for the price I have paid.
