I recently bought a pair of deck shoes, which fit so well and are the second shoes from Gaucho Ninja I have. I also have a pair of retro trainers, which look less like a barefoot shoe than usual but remain very comfortable. The quality and style for bare foot shoes is excellent. I have bare foot shoes from other larger brands and Gaucho Ninja's quality is certainly the best. I am very impressed.
If your looking for a comfortable shoe from the start these are for you I received mine a week ago and there so comfortable will definitely be ordering a 2nd pair gaucho ninja team keep up the hard work very impressed
Love these shoes. They're a delight to walk around in and they look great. They don't have that clown shoe look that a lot of barefoot shoes have. Out of the 3 types of shoe I bought from Gaucho Ninja, these are the ones I've worn the least. Not because I don't like them, but because they are easily damaged. I've only worn them a handful of times in the last 7 weeks but the suede at the toes has already sustained some scratches and wear n tear. I'll be saving these for occasions with little risk of damage.
These are a fantastic shoe. Straight out of the box, they are like walking on a cloud. Durable materials. Great fit. I've put them through some bumpy, muddy and wet conditions over the last 7 weeks and they really hold up. I think the insoles may need replacing in the coming months, but a small price to pay for such a great shoe. I hope they release some new colour ways, I could have 5 pairs of these and no other shoes. Highly recommend.
These boots are well made with high quality materials. Design-wise, I found the pull tab at the back causes my trouser hems to get stuck behind it. The main issue is the steel toe. The toe box is not deep enough, so the steel rubs against the top of my toes. Where the shoe curves around the pinky toe, the steel is so low that it defeats the purpose of the wider toe box, pinching, crushing and causing numbness in my toes worse than an ordinary shoe. I wanted to allow them time to break in, but after wearing them 4 days a week for 7 weeks, they show no sign of softening. From the other reviews, clearly these boots are great for some people, but for me they are too uncomfortable and the wider toebox is rendered ineffectual by the steel toe. A real shame considering the price. Wish I could return them but I wouldn't have known if I didn't wear them.

Thank you for amending your review Marah, we are glad that your shoes arrived safely. With best wishes the Gaucho Ninja team

Lovely barefoot pals, so soft and comfortable.
First I wanted to mention that the extra 50+ dollars that was required to get my shoes is not the fault or responsibility of the seller. It is because of the tariffs imposed by our own government.
I did notice the tongue at first was stiff and little uncomfortable but after just a week or so it softened and isn’t a problem now.
Before I tried 2 different traditional safety shoes. The first pair I would be limping by the end of the night from foot pain. The second I would have pain in my bone on my inner part of foot during my break.
From the first day wearing the Ninja Trainers I have had no foot pain and my feet feel great all night. I am going to look at the care of the shoe because like anything you need to take care of it properly for it to last.
On the size I ordered the same size I do in Vibrams and they fit great.
Great workmanship.
Despite the odd appearance and feeling like maybe these are the shoes a clown would wear to court these are probably the best looking best feeling dress shoes have ever worn I’m extremely happy with this purchase.!
The shoes fit well feel good and seem to be well-made. And yet the material is comically flimsy. Nothing in the advertisement for these shoes prepared me for the fact that these are made from leather so thin it reminds me of a golf glove. My first clue was that they came packaged in something more like an envelope than a box. Probably a decent value for the money. But I would have much preferred thicker leather so that I can put them on like shoes instead of pull them on like limp socks. Description of this item needs to be updated to reflect that these are probably the flimsiest shoes you’ve ever purchased.
Very light and comfy shoes, working whole day you even forgot that you’re wearing a safety shoes. The only thing is that they are a bit stiff around the top and bitting at ankles this is why gave 4 stars
Very impressed with quality of materials and precision of stitching. Look and feel great. Remove insoles to get a little more wiggle room.
I wore these for two days before they broke me. Day one I tried a nice supporting insole. My heel rubbed so bad on the back that it hurt all day. Also my small toes on my right foot get pinched during squatting.
Day two I tried a thinner insole that provided no support whatsoever. My whole body stiffened up over the day from the complete discomfort. My old cheap shoes only hurt my toes and I went back to them. I survived day three with the old shoes. I’m wary of wearing them again. They’re the most uncomfortable shoe I’ve ever purchased.
Like another reviewer, I got a laugh at what you call an insole. A thin strip with no cushion. The ad said a thick insole. 1/16 leather is nothing.
I bought them for the wide toe box and experience similar toe issues as old boots. I guess it’s a me thing.
Absolute best safety shoe I have ever worn. I bought the Sneaky Ninjas after 4 recent unsuccessful attempts trying other safety shoes/boots. I only own barefoot shoes, mainly Vivobarefoots and a couple pair of Xeros, and have never been able to find truly comfortable safety shoes. As soon as I slipped these on I could tell I was going to love them.
There is a ton of room in the toe box allowing my toes to spread like they normally do. Other safety shoes/boots have allowed this but my big toe and pinky toe always rubbed the safety toe. I hardly notice the safety toe in these shoes because my toes never rub or touch it. They are incredibly flexible straight out of the box and have gotten more comfortable everyday I wear them. I wear them to work 8-9 hours a day and still have a hard time believing they are safety shoes. I followed the website instructions on sizing and they fit perfect.
I even find myself reaching for these shoes even when I’m not headed to work due to how comfortable they are. Thank you for the perfect all around shoe!!!
When I say these shoes are life-changing, I really mean it! I have wide feet and struggle to find steel toe shoes that don’t hurt. Our company provides shoes for us but the selection is limited. It got to the point that I dreaded going to work because I knew I was going to be in pain all day. Finally I decided to buy these, and they are a game changer. Literally zero pain anywhere! No weird rubbing or pinching. No shin splints. Nothing. They didn’t even need a break-in period. I put about 10,000 steps in on the first day and felt fine.
There are no words that adequately describe how happy I am to have found these shoes.
these shoes are so very comfortable, very well hand-crafted, and looking good - I couldnt resist and ordered more! If you want comfort and quality with timeless good looks, I highly recommend these shoes! Greetings to the Gaucho Ninja Team from 🇨🇭
Been wearing these at work for a few weeks now (technician in a ceramics department at an art school ) and they are fantastic. Definitely a bit more stiff than your usual barefoot sneakers but since they are so well safety rated that makes sense. Totally fine compromise to get the lighter weight, wider toe box , and flat inside. So much nicer than my old heavy steel toes.
The materials are high quality and they feel well made. They could be improved with a wider toe box. They do seem to have smaller sizing than other companies, so follow their size chart.
Only had them for a couple weeks, but I don't think I'll ever wear anything else. Some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn; frankly it doesn't even feel like I'm even wearing safety shoes most of the time. I can tell they're high-quality construction; the materials feel and look quite nice.
I have been wearing almost exclusively barefoot-style shoes for eleven years. When I started working at a job that required ASTM-rated safety shoes back in 2020, I looked all over for a solution that would work. After trying multiple US brands I ultimately went with the Birkenstock QS700 boots, which were zero drop and wide but had a bit of toe spring. They were also quite heavy. These are better in every way - wider in the toe box without being obnoxiously wide, no toe spring, a good balance of groundfeel and cushion/protection for heavy walking on concrete floors.
Wanted to put some miles on them before writing my review. Was a bit tough on my heel during the initial few wears, but nothing ridiculous. 13-16k steps/day and I can now easily and honestly say these are the most comfortable safety shoes I've ever worn. Enough space for my toes, made me realize I had grown used to them being pinched when I stood up from kneeling to such an extent that it was almost a eureka moment that this solved it. Would absolutely recommend if you're on the fence. Fit true to size. Seems to have been revised since theast YT vids, doesnt impact pinky toe on steel toe for me.
Very comfortable and wode toe box
