Goodyear Welted Barefoot Safety Boots

Armour your feet

GOODYEAR WELTED SHOES EXPLAINED:

The Goodyear construction is characterised by a horizontal seam that joins the upper, the insole and a welt. This welt is then joined by a second vertical seam, which joins the entire shoe to the outsole. This achieves the total integrity of the shoe and, in addition, it’s easy to repair.
A characteristic feature of Goodyear footwear until now has been its lack of flexibility. By working closely with the factory and meticulously intervening in every process, we were able to create the first Goodyear shoe suitable for the Barefoot user.
Completely flexible. A shoe that with every step you take, becomes more yours. With every step, your footprint will be moulded into the shoe.

Natural Vegetable Tanned Leather

OUR VEG TAN LEATHER

The leather we are using is a natural vegetable tanned leather emblematic of the Spanish heartland.
A richly coloured 'washed' calf leather with a rustic character and aroma. Handmade by the tannery nicknamed 'The Widow's'. When the Pérez brothers, just teenagers, lost their father, the tannery manager, their widowed mother decided to carry on the legacy of 3 generations of tanners.
The four brothers and sons, 40 years later, continue the legacy today making this exquisite leather.

THE SOLE OF THE SHOE

The sole, the soul of the shoe. We developed a sole that would provide the right feel. Something that can convey the Barefoot connection without losing the requirements of safety and comfort. Germany had the answer. Soles that not only allow the Barefoot feeling whilst being stylish, but also meet the highest European protection levels: anti-slip, fuel and oil proof, and anti-static.

JOBS THAT REQUIRE SAFETY SHOES

When to armour your feet

Safety footwear is essential in many industries to protect workers from potential hazards such as falling objects, sharp items, and slippery surfaces. Here is a list of jobs that typically require safety footwear:

Construction Workers - To protect from heavy machinery and falling debris.

Electricians - Insulated boots can protect against electrical hazards.

Warehouse Workers - For protection against heavy moving equipment and falling objects.

Factory Workers - To prevent injury from heavy machinery and sharp tools.

Landscapers and Gardeners - To protect against sharp tools and uneven surfaces.

Manufacturing Jobs - In environments with heavy equipment and hazardous materials.

Plumbers - To protect against sharp tools and slips in wet environments.

Roofers - To provide traction and protect against punctures.

Miners - For protection from sharp rocks, falling debris, and heavy machinery.

Firefighters - Specialized boots protect against extreme heat and sharp objects.

Chemical Plant Workers - Protection from corrosive substances and spills.

Loggers - To prevent injury from chainsaws and falling trees.

Agricultural Workers - Protection from heavy machinery and uneven terrain.

Road Workers - Protect against heavy equipment and rough surfaces.

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) - For protection in diverse and potentially hazardous environments.

Maintenance Workers - To protect from electrical hazards and mechanical risks.

Oil Rig Workers - Boots that resist oil and provide safety against slips and falls.

Automotive Technicians - Protection from falling tools and hazardous materials.

In each of these roles, the right kind of safety footwear can significantly reduce the risk of injury. Always ensure that the safety footwear used complies with industry-specific safety standards and regulations. Some roles require a groove for ladder climbing so our boots would not be suitable for such jobs.
