These shoes look and feel great, but the bulbous end may simply be too wide. I am still not sure if they look good in a suit and am always self conscious. But the quality is superb.
These were my second pair from Gaucho Ninja, the first being the deck shoes. I have bought and been very disappointed by 2 other pairs of barefoot Chelsea boots (other brands.) These are almost perfect. I would recommend them to anyone that has mid to low volume feet and wants a well fitting pair of great looking boots. In fact I love them enough that I’m about to purchase another pair of shoes from this company.
Searching for healthier, anatomically correct shoes I stumbled upon Gaucho Ninja, and am so glad to have. These Chelsea boots are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. I can hardly imagine a better fit; they fit my feet marvelously. The toe box is wide for natural spread and the heel is locked in so I feel secure walking. The boots are flexible enough to provide some foot muscle action and leather sole with rubber sole is durable enough for rough terrain and weather. The leather is thick enough to be durable but they are also still breathable. I chose these for the stiching, shape, quality materials (veg-tanned leather rather than chrome), and look. They deliver. I still am figuring out which brand of "barefoot" shoes to wear for which purpose, but I don't think I'll have to search for another pair of Chelsea boots.
I have a really hard time finding shoes that fit and are comfortable. Within a few hours of wearing them walking they had broken in and become the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned.
I love the new Sacred Geometry line — I bought my first pair of barefoot Chelsea boots from Gaucho Ninja a couple of years ago and wear them all the time during the cooler months. I’m so happy to add these to my collection! The leather is gorgeous — they fit so well and feel really special. I hope you will consider making these and your other styles for women in the Chestnut Brown.
To me the only thing these boots need (other than a few more colour options) is a better name, they don't look like what I expect a "Chukka" boot to look like. To me a chukka boot has 2 or 3 sets of eyelets, is a pretty basic cut, often found as an entry level offering. These boots are not that.
These boots are a deep chocolate brown in a good quality leather, precisely cut in an expert way, the toe box is large and dominates what can be seen of the boot with its barefoot anatomical sweep of the toes which allows the toes to spread and wiggle but still feel protected. However, for me the really clever part is the way the boot is cut funnel like over the instep, wrapping securely around the ankle. (I injured my ankle 20 years ago and had it screwed back together, today I suffer from arthritis and limited movement in the ankle which has put additional pressure on my forefoot (metatarsalgia). These boots offer secure support despite my misshapen ankle. I cant really talk about the foot bed, I used the provided insole as a guide and cut 5mm thick veg tan insoles with 5mm additional arch support for the nerve that controls the big toe (which going by my uninjured foot feels really good, injury or not).
I needed some new footwear for work, where I spend most of my time on my feet, so I took a bit of a gamble (having never used this company before) on these boots because I liked the simplicity of the design, the interesting shape, and the promise of comfort. I often struggle with new boots but the "barefoot" style is remarkably comfortable, even on the first day I wore them. I've not had a single pinch or rub. The quality is, as you would hope for from handmade footwear, very good also. It certainly gives me the confidence that they'll last a fair old while.
I'll definitely consider Gaucho Ninja for future footwear needs!
Leagues better than most other brands that I've tried. Leather quality does simply not compare to GN when looking at popular barefoot brands.
Love them, and that they sell shoes in "wide". like that sizing more than the "extra wide".
Keep up the good work, and pleas consider making classic models eg inspiration from Churchs.
The belt fit, this is always the first concern I have for any belt purchase, especially an online purchase. The width, length and sizing of the belt is accurate as described by Gaucho Ninja. The quality of the leather and buckle are high quality, they will wear and age with time. This will bring aesthetics to the belt and as long as it functions and wears well, I will use it until it dies. I look forward to seeing how long it lasts.
I scoured every Barefoot blog and website looking for Chelsea boots. All of the boots either looked like clown shoes or looked thin. I chose these because of the ability to resole in the future and when I received them... They fit true to size, took a few wears to get my foot in and out of them and now they are perfect. And they feel well constructed and like actual boots! I've been wearing barefoot shoes for more than 5+ years in many styles, and these are my favorite pair I have ever bought. 10/10
Instantly naturally comfortable. Like foot gloves made from the finest leather.
I would like to start this review by saying I don't think most people understand what they're purchasing barefoot shoes are not for everyone and unless you've worn them for years you're probably not going to like them that being said Gaucho Ninja produces high quality Barefoot products I've been looking for a safetytoe Barefoot shoe for years it didn't exist I recently stumbled across these I purchased two pairs I will never wear another pair of safety toe shoes again these are true barefoots I just purchased my actual pair of Gauchos I want to give them a try I primarily only wear vevo's as a Barefoot Enthusiast most people don't understand what their purchasing I would like to give Gaucho a huge shout out for their quality and wonderful products and making me comfortable and safe
I’ve had deck shoes all my adult life and was thrilled to find Gaucho Ninja made a barefoot option. I’m delighted with these. Beautifully made and extremely comfortable with or without socks. I have wide feet but very low volume. An extra insole fills them so they don’t have the baggy wrinkles as is often the case with my shoes. I recommend them!
These are the best safety boots money can buy. I have been waiting many years for a manufacturer to make shoes like these. Any other safety shoes will injure and deform your feet over time. Thank you Gaucho Ninja you are doing the world a favor.
The deck shoes were even more beautiful in person. Excellent craftsmanship paired with high quality materials. I am a US women's 7.5 and the size 38 fits perfectly. This is my second pair of Gaucho Ninja shoes and I have the Chelseas on the. I love them ♥️
Been looking for a proper work shoe that my work will permit but also doesn’t leave my feet squashed and sore at the end of the day. Finally found this and it’s perfect. Very safe and secure fiberglass toe that keeps the shoe lighter than other safety shoes I’ve worn. Roomy foot shaped toe box that let me spread my toes while I work. Flexible flexible flexible. And a sole that doesn’t slip around and keeps me planted in a nice neutral stance. It’s not perfect, nothing is. While lighter than other shoes, it is still much heavier than a normal barefoot shoe. Takes some getting used to. It’s also a very clown shoe shaped shoe, although the color hides it well enough. Personally I would have preferred a mid or high top version but I got used to the low cut very quickly. Some growing pains but so far it is worth the price and effort, it is a lifesaver.
I recently bought a pair of deck shoes, which fit so well and are the second shoes from Gaucho Ninja I have. I also have a pair of retro trainers, which look less like a barefoot shoe than usual but remain very comfortable. The quality and style for bare foot shoes is excellent. I have bare foot shoes from other larger brands and Gaucho Ninja's quality is certainly the best. I am very impressed.
If your looking for a comfortable shoe from the start these are for you I received mine a week ago and there so comfortable will definitely be ordering a 2nd pair gaucho ninja team keep up the hard work very impressed
Love these shoes. They're a delight to walk around in and they look great. They don't have that clown shoe look that a lot of barefoot shoes have. Out of the 3 types of shoe I bought from Gaucho Ninja, these are the ones I've worn the least. Not because I don't like them, but because they are easily damaged. I've only worn them a handful of times in the last 7 weeks but the suede at the toes has already sustained some scratches and wear n tear. I'll be saving these for occasions with little risk of damage.
These are a fantastic shoe. Straight out of the box, they are like walking on a cloud. Durable materials. Great fit. I've put them through some bumpy, muddy and wet conditions over the last 7 weeks and they really hold up. I think the insoles may need replacing in the coming months, but a small price to pay for such a great shoe. I hope they release some new colour ways, I could have 5 pairs of these and no other shoes. Highly recommend.
These boots are well made with high quality materials. Design-wise, I found the pull tab at the back causes my trouser hems to get stuck behind it. The main issue is the steel toe. The toe box is not deep enough, so the steel rubs against the top of my toes. Where the shoe curves around the pinky toe, the steel is so low that it defeats the purpose of the wider toe box, pinching, crushing and causing numbness in my toes worse than an ordinary shoe. I wanted to allow them time to break in, but after wearing them 4 days a week for 7 weeks, they show no sign of softening. From the other reviews, clearly these boots are great for some people, but for me they are too uncomfortable and the wider toebox is rendered ineffectual by the steel toe. A real shame considering the price. Wish I could return them but I wouldn't have known if I didn't wear them.

Thank you for amending your review Marah, we are glad that your shoes arrived safely. With best wishes the Gaucho Ninja team
